Dr. Brian Pierce has recently been certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia, which gives patient another treatment option for difficult and chronic conditions, by Jackson Medical Center.
Central Baldwin Chiropractic announced today the addition of Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA) to its growing roster of medical treatments. Dr. Brian Pierce has recently been certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia, which gives patients another treatment option for difficult and chronic conditions.
MUA has been practiced since the 1930’s and has been used for many years. Recently the use of the procedure has increased greatly thanks to tremendous advances in the technique and anesthesia. MUA can be an effective procedure for people with chronic neck pain, back pain, or other spine pain caused by disabilities or accidents, or any injury that has not responded to conventional treatments.
“This procedure gives our patients another option, for patients who have tried multiple treatments unsuccessfully, this gives them another step before trying invasive surgery,” stated Dr. Pierce.
Dr. Brian Pierce has been practicing in the Robertsdale Alabama area for thirteen years, but has recently added MUA procedure to his practice to help more difficult cases. His certification was completed through extra study and proctorship for the procedure at Jackson Medical Center.
MUA achieves results because it allows the caregivers to adjust the bones and muscles without usual resistance. Light sedation allows patience to be responsive but not apprehensive. Adjustments are completely gentle, Fibrotic adhesions are altered, motion is increased, muscles stretched, collagen remodeled, and the result of decreased pain and discomfort are amazing. A recent study showed a recovery rate of 87% of patients with 10 years or longer pain, another showed 83% positive response rate.
Dr. Brian Pierce has taken special interest in caring for patients with chronic pain, but this treatment is not for everyone. If you have any questions regarding Manipulation Under Anesthesia, you may call Dr. Brian Pierce at (251) 947-9010.
